FRED's at Fenwick Newcastle
Inspired by founding family member Fred Fenwick’s passion for French culture and the Belle Époque era, FRED’s is a modern take on the Terrace Tea Room opened at Fenwick Newcastle in 1911.
Start with a morning coffee, fresh pressed juice and viennoiserie hand-made in store by our skilled patisserie chefs. Elsewhere on the menu, discover FRED's signature "Supreme" filled croissants sandwiches (a Newcastle exclusive), refreshing salads, savoury light bites and, of course, a quintessentially English afternoon tea. While the extensive drinks menu offers champagne, smoothies, specialist coffee and cocktails for the perfect post-shopping pick-me-up.
FRED's is walk-in only, with the exception of the Afternoon Tea which is offered Mon-Sat: 12pm - 4pm and Sun: 11:30am - 3:30pm.

Visiting here with my two grown ip daughters and grandson while we were waiting for our another guest I thought I would purchase a bottle of wine and get three glasses I was told we do not sell bottles of wine but Carafe’s, 750ml the same amount as a bottle As there was no other option I said okay and that I would have the Sauvignon The bar tender went away to pour it no labels or anything on show to let you know what you were getting It just looked horrible it tasted horrible too but when I paid gor it I nearly dropped through the floor £27.50 my god! What an actual rip off! I wish I had known I wanted to give it back but I was obliged as I’d ordered it I pay that kind of money for wine at The Littleton Hagley for example but your choice is New Zealand Ned or oyster bay etc Good wine! Which is worth it Hickories food is very good but do not purchase the warm cloudy muck they pass as wine the carafe also was very grubby looking such a shame the whole experience should match up
