Barrica

Barrica Tapas Bar is a labour of love, born out of many trips to Spain, with a focus on creating an authentic tapas bar that would not feel out of place if it was located on on a busy street in Barcelona. Barrica certainly delivers on that premise... as you walk through the door, you leave the congested streets of the West End behind you for a taste of Spain. The environment feels relaxed enough to have a great espresso and a pastry, some olives, almonds and jamon with a glass of sherry, a glass of wine by itself with a friend or crossword, as well as somewhere to feast yourself on really good, authentic tapas or enjoy a gin and tonic made with an enthusiasm that all food and drink should be served with. The drinks offering is as important as the food and there is a bespoke, temperature-controlled cabinet for the red wine which sits behind the bar, keeping all red wines at 16 degrees celsius and in an ideal condition for drinking. The wines and sherries have been carefully selected and hand-picked to offer a full reflection of Spain’s fantastic diversity. The same can be said for the food menu that includes tapas dishes with influences from all the regions of Spain. Barrica was again awarded a Bib Gourmand in the 2017 edition of the Michelin Guide.
