Encant, meaning 'charm' or 'spell' in Catalan, is both the name and ethos of this exciting restaurant, situated at the heart of Covent Garden. Chef-patron Victor Garvey's focus is to ensure that Encant serves the kind of food he loves to eat in the kind of restaurant he like to eat in. The dishes he cooks are rooted in his upbringing in Spain, but influenced by his travels and experience of working in restaurants around the world. In a sultry, copper-hued room, seconds away from the bustling Covent Garden Piazza and theatre-land, diners can watch Victor and his team at work in the open kitchen. Every dish is made to order using the highest quality ingredients; the style of service meanwhile is friendly, informal and welcoming. The menu is complemented by an all-Spanish wine list, available by the glass and bottle, as well as a cocktail list featuring many variations of Spain's beloved gin & tonic.
