The highlight of our meal was Lexie. She was incredibly professional and smiling and like a swan above what seemed to be a fairly discordant array of staff. The food was good. The atmosphere and as the aesthetic of the space good. Amazing salad. All enjoyed their meals and puddings. Top tip: never run out of toilet paper when you have unisex toilets - girls don’t like to share with the boys. Birthday - we asked 4 different staff members (not Lexie) for candles to put on our daughter’s dessert (we had apologised for forgetting candles and asked if you had any I was promised it wasn’t a problem). No candles appeared. I asked again. I won’t explain the huge significance of this birthday. But there was no singing or that lovely moment where she was celebrated. Please give Lexie a raise.

As soon as we made a short-notice Christmas booking enquiry for 30+ people (with dietary requirements) we had nothing but fantastic service from Bill's staff. They were quick to return emails and sort queries and nothing was too much trouble. On the day of the event, the staff were organised to an absolute T. Meals came out perfectly, tasted great, and all of our work colleagues had a very enjoyable time. We weren't rushed to leave and were attended to all through the night. Thank you so much to all staff and in particular to; Pedro, George, Giuseppe, and Gabby!
Good food but rude service at the end

I visited with a friend last Sunday. When we came we were welcomed and the place was warm. In fact at the beginning too many different young people kept coming round to ask if everything was ok. The food came and it was good. Towards the end of our 3-course meal it started to get very cold and I was cold on my back and already had a cold myself. This is not the first time this happened as it happened before when we went and I wondered if it was a ploy to get customers to leave and not stay and chat. I looked around and did not see any windows open but noticed a big fan whirring near front door and not far from us, so presume cold air may have been coming from there. We called for the bill but were not quite ready to leave as I needed the loo and people usually check their bills before paying. A young lady called Victoria came with the machine and stood over us waiting for us to pay although we had not even checked the bill yet. I asked her to come back as we were not ready. I also asked her why it was so cold in there and why they needed to have the fan on. Instead of apologising straight away she said "its good to have some air isn't it". She also said "you could have called someone over and we would have put the heating on"! I said to her it was not a matter of putting heating on but just to get rid of the chill affecting my back. Then she gave a half-hearted apoIogy but I could see she did not mean it. I found her very rude and patronising. In fact towards the end we did not see that many people as in the beginning coming around and checking in on us and some of them were by the bar chatting. It was not busy in the restaurant. This rude young lady and the coldness in the place has put me off a bit from wanting to come back although I like the food. The other staff were fine and did their job well.
