Although even google seemed to have difficulty finding Stuzzico, perhaps because it is a discreet local treasure, we were amply rewarded after we arrived. The initial welcome from our host dissipated any doubts that we had landed on a good spot. The menu is short but seemed to offer an embarrassment of choice of dishes too good to miss. The wine list was likewise transparently promising. The modest size of the restaurant and the impression that the other customers all seemed to know one another added to the reassuring atmosphere of conviviality. The pasta served either with black or white truffles were superb. The fish and meat dishes had that pleasing simplicity of the best Italian cooking. Their Chianti was very good and good value

6 of us ate at about 12.30 with 4 having the English Breakfast and 2 having pasta. The food and service were very good. We have been here several times, breakfast, lunch, dinner and it always comes up trumps. Good food at good prices.
