20 at The Kings

20 at The Kings is one of the grand old buildings of Swindon, located in the middle of Wood Street, one of the oldest parts of the town. By any standards a magnificent place, it offers great accommodation, a centre for functions, wedding receptions, conferences and seminars, bars and a restaurant. The downstairs bars alternately attract Old Town businessmen for lunch and lively young people in the evenings and all can wallow in the sumptuous surroundings of a 19th century inn that has lost none of its old-fashioned grandeur. It still looks as if it might have been the model for one of the venues in a Thomas Hardy novel. Food is served daily, from sandwiches to Sunday Lunch carvery. The menus are created using the freshest produce sourced right here in Wiltshire and seafood from the South Coast. The food is best described as traditional English with some modern twists, providing fresh and tasty food at very affordable prices.
