The Gilpin menus celebrate some of the finest Lake District produce and West Coast seafood with traditional British flavours blended in a light, imaginative way, with ingredients that speak for themselves. Guests can relax in the bar or on the terraces prior to dining; each of the dining rooms has its own character and style. Every table has fresh flowers, candles at night, crisp white linen, fine china and glass, and gleaming silver. The wine list provides some carefully matched wines to complement each dish; guests are invited to wander into the walk-in wine cellars where they can browse over 200 wines from 13 different countries. The wine list has been built on interest rather than ancient vintages at astronomic prices.
