Originally a vast farming estate, Deans Place became a private Hotel at the beginning of the 20th century. Since then the estate has evolved into a highly regarded Alfriston Hotel and Restaurant, combining heritage charm with impeccable service and tranquillity. Set on the banks of the Cuckmere River at the foot of the South Downs National Park, this idyllic position offers exhilarating contrasts for short break in Sussex; enjoy the bustle of Alfriston Village High Street or Dinner alfresco on a Summer's evening, relax with afternoon tea in the Victorian gardens or supper before a crackling log fire. Alfriston is a wonderful place for a day out. Take a stroll around the village's shops or to take a gentle amble along the river amidst the glorious South Downs, and Deans Place offers a superb place to meet and share time with friends. Morning Coffee and Afternoon Tea are served throughout the day or you may enjoy the bar & terrace menu for a lighter option, served from 11:00am until 9:15pm. Deans Place also offers the use of several elegant private rooms and an alfresco terrace with Barbeque area, for all types of celebrations and events. There are four functions suites, seating 10 – 140 guests, offering menus that include delectable canapés and lunches; fine dining or lazy poolside BBQs. Deans Place has recently been awarded two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence throughout the hotel.
