An outstandingly good restaurant in the heart of Cheshire, No. 48 Kitchen & Bar offers authentic Mediterranean cuisine in homely, attractive surroundings; behind the traditional exterior of a house in Stockport Road, Marple, there beats a rather unexpected heart, with the interior belying the look of the outside and providing the setting for a truly memorable experience and a patio for al fresco dining.

Excellent paella and drinks in relaxed atmosphere

Would definitely go again although tables for 2 in back room are a little too small for tapas and a little too close together. Great bar and outside area.

We visited yesterday, and I think there had been a reshuffle of the table numbers, so there was a lot of confusion. Whilst the food we had was really tasty, one of our tapas courses and the coffees we ordered just didn’t arrive. Also, nobody came for us to reorder any drinks. We have been before and never experienced this before, so hopefully, this was a temporary glitch and ‘normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.’

Lovely meal here with girlfriends. The food was delicious I had Calamari, tempura prawns and Popcorn Seafood- can highly recommend this one! Tried some of my friend’s pork cheeks which were also lovely and tender. The lamb cutlets were a bit disappointing. Also although very friendly the service was a little slow, maybe as we were in the corner. We had to go up to the bar to request wine and the bill. However, second visit and would still recommend if you like tapas and a wide variety of dishes!

Nice to find local, good tapas! The selection was excellent, all dishes were well seasoned and presented well. The patas bravas sauce could have been tastier and the potatoes were a bit pale but that is our personal opinion and a minor detail. Good selection of wine, gins and cocktails. We will definitely return.
