An outstandingly good restaurant in the heart of Cheshire, No. 48 Kitchen & Bar offers authentic Mediterranean cuisine in homely, attractive surroundings; behind the traditional exterior of a house in Stockport Road, Marple, there beats a rather unexpected heart, with the interior belying the look of the outside and providing the setting for a truly memorable experience and a patio for al fresco dining.

We come here about four times a year, and its always very good. The new little bar area is lovely, service is great and food is delicious. They have some good wines, we went for a Rioja for £26.00. I would highly recommend the pigs cheeks, they are rich and so tender and served with a coarse grained mustard mash. we also had the cauliflower, so tasty and the salt and pepper popcorn seafood, addictive! We plan on visiting more regularly. Always a great evening.

We visited the no 48 Kitchen and bar for a double celebration. The food was amazing and the staff were excellent. A real gem of a place in Marple

Excellent quality fresh food. The fish was succulent and the potatoes exceptionally crispy. Also the coffee was a delight. We were served really quickly but they weren't in a hurry to get rid of us after the meal. The restaurant has been redorated in the past year and looks fabulous now with many attractive features.
