Meerjana's food philosophy is simple: use the best ingredients and prepare each dish fresh to order with an unparalleled attention to detail. This is complemented by an extensive wine list, including many wines from Lebanon, Syria and the New and Old World. The menu offers many seafood dishes from the coast, alongside dishes from the main land (often lamb or chicken). The selection of mezze is extensive and includes delicacies such as sweetbreads and frogs legs. The main dishes include many family recipes from the owner’s Lebanese family which are unique to Meejana. There is also a wide selection of grills and other traditional dishes. Meejana has a small bar with a hand-made, inlaid mosaic Phoenician alphabet, a small terrace outside – great in the afternoon sun in summer – or a nice place to take a relaxed shisha. The interior is split into two separate areas, so you can choose to sit in the bar area or the rear dining room with its vaulted ceiling and wrought iron chandelier.
