Lovely venue , just disappointed as our meal was so rushed that 13 of us had our 3 courses all done within an hour , and our drinks took so long to come . A couple of our party arrived early and went to the bar to order a drink , but were told to go and soot at the table and couldn’t order a drink , don’t understand the rush as were told the table was ours all evening ??

Having been to Woodies over the years I was disappointed. Food was amazing, Service was great. It lacked what used to be. Ambiance way loud. The toilet facilities were appalling. (Not for me as there are none for a wheelchair user) That wasn't a problem :) Sorry Woodies!

We booked our work Christmas party here so thought we would give it a trial run. Service was very lack and slow, need more staff. When they came they were friendly and we thought they were getting all our requests down but when it came to it forgot some of our food and orders wrong. What looked like the manager going round to the tables talking to them, which is rather nice to see. The doors was very confusing as people going in and out as we sat there eating, And security guard seemed to be splitting himself. Toilets need to be looked after as only 2 women's and 1 was out of order. The food was very good though. The 12. 5% service charge is absolutely shocking, yes it's optional but you feel pressured into paying it when the service was really not there, the toilets not looked after, people going in and out all around you specially as the night went on, should be entrance/exit for dining only. Decor was absolutely lovely, so rating the ambience from deco and early on. There was only 6 of us so having about 30 abit nervous to see what that's going to be like. Please hire more staff for quicker service.

Heard a lot about Woodies. Gave it a try yesterday. Very disappointed. Only 1 and a half waiting staff, service very slow and inattentive. Had to ask for wine list, spoon, finger bowl, serviettes. Wine prices very expensive (Chichester prices). 12.5% Service charge a bit much. Food not bad, mussels were minuscule and shredded in the shells. Burger was very dry. Ambiance was good. Maybe we caught you on a bad night.

We had a lovely early evening meal. I ordered from the pre-theatre menu, the Cajun chicken was fab!! friendly, attentive staff... will be back
