Welcome to The Thatched Tavern, A friendly 400-year-old beamed tavern in Ascot.
This beautiful 400-year-old beamed tavern, with its cosy bar and glowing fires serve traditional heart-warming bar food such as; 12-hour slow roasted shoulder of lamb and pan-seared calves liver with classic bubble & squeak, crispy bacon & red wine jus. Good ‘old fashioned’ indulgence is the order of the day in the restaurant, where you’ll find classic English fayre and daily fresh fish specials on the a la carte menu.
“The Thatch”, as it is endearingly known is steeped in local history. Even in the 1700 ‘s, it was a well-known landmark – and it is said that Queen Victoria’s Royal Carriage was sometimes seen outside, while John Brown was fortifying himself inside before his onward journey to Windsor Castle!
We are a dog-friendly pub and have spaces indoor and outside that, you can dine with your dog.
