El Bocado
There simply is no better place to wine and dine in Exeter with hand-picked wines and great Spanish food in Exeter. The restaurant is located just minutes from Exeter City Centre and the Cathedral.
The Lunch and Dinner menus offer a variety of tapas, including Serrano ham, Manchego cheese and olives which the chefs marinade themselves, as well as old favourites such as calamares, chorizo and tortilla, alongside seasonal main courses and delicious desserts. The menus also lend themselves to Vegetarians who are looking for creative and tasty vegetarian and Gluten Free food.
It is all about the food! Good food needs good ingredients and the Team at El Bocado makes every effort to use fresh, local and seasonal produce. They also import all the authentic herbs and spices use in their cooking directly from Spain. As each dish is cooked fresh to order there may be a short wait for your food at busy times. There is wide range of red, white and rose wines on offer, as well as a selection of sherry.
Highly recommended are the usual suspects: patatas bravas, tortilla and prawns in garlic and chilli - simply cooked but delicious. Also worth trying the monkfish with Spanish bacon in white wine, chicken and chorizo in a creole sauce...
If you are looking for authentic fresh food combined with friendly service at affordable prices you're looking for then El Bocado is well worth a visit.
El Bocado holds regular events including Flamenco, Spanish guitar and Sherry tasting.
