Tap & Tandoor (Southampton)
It thrives on being an independent pub with emphasis on local produce and suppliers. The kitchen uses free range meat for the popular mixed grill – a selection of prime cut meats cooked over charcoal. Beers are sourced from breweries across the UK and around the world - with the most local being Alcester based Purity and as far afield as Kona Big Wave from Hawaii!
The cocktail menu has been compiled by renowned Birmingham mixologist Robert Wood of 18/81 bar. Experience classics such as Manhattan, Old Fashioned & Spritz cocktails with a twist alongside unique cocktail flavours inspired by Indian cuisine.
Tap & Tandoor launched in Solihull in June 2018, taking on the former Saddlers Arms pub. Peterborough followed in July 2019. Both locations mix the comfort and warmth of a traditional British pub with a touch of Indian heritage, providing space for up to 80 drinks and diners.
Alongside the craft beer and food offering, Tap and Tandoor has private areas for business meetings, celebrations or where sports fans can watch games with their friends, complete with table service and even order their food for half time. Enjoy a casual dining experience, with a wide range of quality beers in a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere.

We had a booking for 4, at 6:45pm, as we walked in the smell of the spices was warm and inviting. We had 4 different meals, mine was a lamb curry, that I had asked to be hot, boy did I get what I asked for, it was truly amazing, the meat tende, a definite 5 star meal, Onion bhajis, the size of Cricket balls and a garlic Nan topped the meal off. The table server was great, offering menu advice with a friendly smile and joke. The meal concluded with a small cake with candle to mark my wife's birthday, which was a nice touch. A pleasant surprise was that there was no service charge on the bill, allowing us to make a decision about rewarding great service. I/we would and have recommended the restaurant to family and friends.
