The Mole Inn is a beautiful country pub & restaurant set in the stunning Oxfordshire countryside just 5 miles from the historic and cultural city of Oxford. Proprietors Gary and Jenny Witchalls offer a mix of fine food, great wines, real ales and relaxed service in this beautiful and cosy restaurant or, weather permitting, in the truly stunning gardens. There are several menus available, including a light snack lunch option, a full à la carte menu and a set price menu, which changes every week. At The Mole Inn, it is all about seasonality, sustainability and local provenance... The beef is dry aged hung for a minimum of 28 days, the lamb comes from Oxfordshire and the pork is free range rare breed Blythburgh pigs. They also use free range chicken meat and the eggs come from small flocks of free range chickens from Views Farm just down the road in Great Milton. The venison is from various estates which includes the estates of Wooton, Daylesford and Balmoral. Much of the other game comes from local shoots and estates in Oxfordshire. The fish arrives daily, primarily from boats fishing off the coast of Britain so at times when the weather is not so good some fish may be unavailable. Only British cheeses are served on the cheeseboard.
