We regularly eat at the Star abd never have any problems. Last night however the service was not great. We had the chase our food order and even then had no update. The food was good but it did look like it had been sitting waiting. The sauce had a skin on it. There was no consistency with either no server or 3 at once

We visited yesterday- a table of four, two adults and two children. The food was good, but the service, terrible. Twice the waitress went to the wrong table with food and drink, it was very slow with a good 15 minutes between seeing the waitress for things like drinks and the bill- it took 20 minutes to get our drinks. The staff seemed disorganised but the restaurant, although with a wake on separately, most of the time only had customers on five tables, so not busy. The bill had to be changed three times because of mistakes, one of which was questioned over a Pepsi max which we did not have! Very disappointing as we have not had this trouble before. An hour and a half for two adult starters, and two children’s meals! With the food being the price it is at the star, we expected much better and will have to consider going elsewhere where in the future if a quick lunch out.
