Situated 3 minutes from Junction 9 of the M25 and 5 minutes from Chessington World of Adventures, The Star is the perfect meeting place.  Ashtead Common is close by so how about a post walk lunch with our planned iwalk and don’t forget well behaved doggies are always welcome in our garden and bar area with dog bowls and biscuits available. We pride ourselves on delivering fantastic food with great friendly service and are working hard during these unusual times to make your visit a happy, comfortable and safe experience.  Our delicious menu now offers a selection of your pub favourites with a few new dishes and vegan choices for you to enjoy, complemented with a great wine list from around the world, as well as delicious Sunday Roasts served 12noon - 5pm. Our garden and patio areas are perfect for alfresco dining and our play area in the rear garden is open. Every customer matters and everyone is important. We serve fabulous food all day, everyday! The six of us had a very enjoyable time and the meal was excellent celebrating an anniversary and Aaron our waiter was very attentive..

Maria and her team were incredibly helpful and patient (with a slightly complicated booking) and looked after us really well. Food was good and plentiful. only issue was the heat in the room (due to the hot day outside). Windows needed to be opened and blinds down from early in the day to try and keep the room cooler.

Food was ok, quite nice. Service was an issue, took a long time to get drinks, no one came over to check if we wanted more drinks, or clear away dirty plates. Mains took quite a while to come out. Food was let down a bit by the fact it had clearly been left under a hot plate for some time due to warm coleslaw and rock solid burger buns.

This is our regular meeting place to eat with a set of friends. Aaron was fantastic. The staff in general very helpful. However, we found the quality of food to be quite basic for the price charged. This time the food disappointed us.

We visit The Star for family get together as its easy to get there for all of us. The food is usually of good quality but unfortunately the two steaks our party ordered was too tough to eat. Everybody else on the table enjoyed their food.
