We were seated at the back of the restaurant. Soon after we were seated the table next to us was occupied by 7 very loud and boisterous patrons. We were unable to converse as they were so loud. We lunched there a few times before and we were seated at the front by the bar. In future I will request that area. The food selection we felt was poor and not up to the standard of our previous visits.

We’ve been to 2 other Barons restaurants many times but decided to go to The Shinfield Arms for a change and we loved it. We had an outdoor booth, the food was tasty and the service was great. Can’t wait to go back.

Superb lunch on Sunday 8th June - we arrived at 12 with a table booked for 1.15 but were able to have our table straight away. Lots of good choices on the menu (difficult to choose!) and everything our party of 4 had was delicious. Service was excellent, polite, friendly and efficient. Sitting semi-outside with a heater by the table was fab. Everything was just perfect and we didn't leave til 4pm. Not knowing the area, I was recommended the Shinfield Arms by a friend, we only wish we lived closer to visit more often (Suffolk and Australia!!).
