The Lodge Bar & Restaurant
With the hotel’s 28 en-suite rooms, there is a cosy dog-friendly lounge (featuring a real log fire), an attractive bar and spacious restaurant, which also boasts a conservatory overlooking the beautiful gardens.
The grounds, which include majestic trees, are such a beautiful place to just sit and soak up the view, or take a wander around the gardens and watch the wildlife. Whether guests have booked a stay or are just dining at the Lodge, they are all welcome to spend some time exploring the estate and enjoying the great outdoors.
The Lodge dates back to the 1800s and it still retains much of its vintage charm and makes a perfect country retreat.
"We want our guests to enjoy excellent customer service, some of our staff have worked here for over 30 years and are incredibly loyal to East Ayton, they have become like a family who cares passionately about delivering the best service they possibly can".
Fresh, local ingredients – exceptional food
The restaurant is open to all and, with 100 covers, can cater for large groups as well as couples and solo diners. Guests have the option of eating in the main restaurant, the bar, or the conservatory, which offers a delightful view of the grounds.

Booked a meal as a reconnaissance as there will be a party of 16 staying next year. They will not be disappointed. The food was fantastic. I had the gammon and my partner had the steak. Real lanolin’s and everything was so clean. Great service from the staff

Very pleasant venue. Good, attentive staff and lovely food with a fancier than average Sunday lunch menu. The creme brulee in particular was fabulous! Very reasonably priced, too. We are in the conservatory which was nice but extremely hot, even on an average September day. The music from the bar seemed a bit mis-matched to the venue but was not loud so not a problem.

This was a most enjoyable dining experience in a very pleasant environment. The food was perfectly cooked and we chose from a menu with a good variety of dishes. The staff were exemplary in their friendly and attentive service. We booked because we have dined here several times and were sure of a memorable evening at East Ayton Lodge.

The food was ok, the menu was quite basic, my choice was fishcakes and there wasn't any. We ate in the conservatory there were not many other diners and the room was quite soleless. On saying the comments above the waitress made up.for it all she was fabulous.
