Food was very nice, but not a lot of it for the price. 10% service charge is added, this is a pub not a top class restaurant, that made the food even more expensive as 10% was added to drinks as well. I would like to leave my own tip on how the service was, not be told what to leave. The pub was mostly empty of dinners apart from 2 other tables. Sorry but I would not vist again.

There were insufficient staff on duty, one girl serving 20 people she was doing her very best but against all the odds. Food was ages coming and was indifferent, not awful but not good. Very disappointing. We have been here numerous times before and never had a bad meal.

Lovely welcome and great service. And the food was top quality...the roast beef was cooked to perfection and tasted fabulous, lovely Yorkshire pudding and potatoes, my only criticism and it's a very small one is we were a group of four that love vegetables so we didn't have enough to go round, another portion would have made it perfect . The rhubarb & apple crumble was lovely, and I was informed that the chocolate torte & lemon tart were equally as good . Would we return? Most definitely yes .
